Position: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Marlborough, MA
Type: Long Term

Keys to the Position

1 - 7+ Oracle Database Development experience – PL/SQL and strong performance tuning skills

2 - Excellent development and debugging skills.

3.  Financial Services experience is a big +.  Candidate needs to have either some Java or Financial Services experience.

Optional Keys to the Position (If candidate brings Java experience with Oracle Tuning, they are likely to work in this group on a long term basis if they are at level)

1. Working knowledge/experience on Java/JSP/Struts/Servlets/Custom Tags/Web Services/ and related Web Technologies.

2. Working knowledge of Ant/build scripts and deployment procedures.

3. Experience on WebServers & Application Servers - Tomcat / Weblogic

We will take either a Strong PL/SQL Tuning Resource or someone that has PL/SQL Tuning with Java Exp

We have a Compliance Application with a Vendor as well as home grown components which utilizes Java, Oracle, Ext JS and Grails.　 There are a number of enhancements requested on these systems every year.

　In order for this person to be successful, (s)he will need to be knowledgeable in the following areas: 　Java,　 Oracle and UI development using Grails and Ext JS.   Java is not a requirement but certainly a very big +

All work will need to be onsite.　 The candidate will be based　in Marlborough and will work occasionally in Boston as needed.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of this team, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

 Participate with small to mid-sized development teams involved in full-lifecycle development efforts which are based on J2EE, Linux/Unix and Oracle technologies

 Responsible for code quality and assurance by focusing on static code analysis, unit testing, design and code reviews, continuous integration, release management, performance tuning, test strategy and execution

 Partner with System Analysts and Project Managers to implement business requirements

 Coordinate infrastructure related activities with middleware and database teams

 Implement systems based on well defined SLAs
