Need a C# Developer with Com API exp - Boston, MA - Contract

We have been asked by our client to identify a best C# Developer with Com API exp for Boston, MA.
our client is a highly regarded company in the retail.

Keys to the Position:

5-8 years of C# development experience

COM API experience is a must

Excel integration experience is a big plus

Excel Object Model, VSTO, Excel DNA or NetOffice a strong plus

This position will be working at 100 Federal Street

At a high level, the team is looking to hire a consultant for 2-4 months to help them improve the performance of an Excel application.  They currently have 65 charts embedded in this application and they are looking for a consultant to remove the charts from the application that will increase the performance.

There is a chance that this consultant will be able to transfer into a different team if things go well and it is possible for the resource to get extended but the initital duration is 2-4 months

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to design and deliver software assemblies relevant to complex business problems.

 Four to Eight years of GUI development using Microsoft technologies

• Four years of .Net development experience using C#
• Solid experience with the .Net framework version 4.0 or higher
• Proficient in test first development methodology and knowledgeable of entire software lifecycle
• WPF or WinForms proficiency
• Excel Object Model, VSTO, Excel DNA or NetOffice a strong plus
• Knowledge of charting technologies a strong plus
• PL/SQL knowledge a plus
• Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that supports a business-critical production environment
• Computer Science degree or related field

Minimum Years Experience in the Field: 8+ Years

 Descriptions:

The project will build and integrate a real-time application with models in Excel. This position is responsible for technical design, coding and unit testing.

 Responsibilities:

• Technical design, implementation, and unit testing
• Partner with Business Analyst and Application Architect to review and implement business requirements
• Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on estimates, statuses, identifying issues and raising risks.
