 Keys to the Position:

1.  The candidate must have AWS experience in a couple of different projects.  We are looking for practical knowledge as opposed to theoretical experience.  

2.  Within AWS, the manager is looking for this person to have experience with S3, SQS and RDS.

3.  Must have experience working with Java (75% Server side development vs 25% UI)

In sum, we are looking for a strong Java developer that has experience with AWS to help evaluate the technology as well as to build a POC to put the pieces together.

Description:

AWS architect/POC developer

We are looking for an Amazon Web Services Application Architect to help us with the redesign of the next generation of our Enterprise Reporting system on a Cloud-based architecture.

 Our team is looking for a motivated Amazon Cloud Services architect who is expert on both AWS EC2 architecture, design/integration and hand-on development.

 The preferred skills include:

• AWS technologies and architecture design experience in AWS
• AWS cloud migration, transformation, and integration experience with existing internal system
• Experience in developing, testing, debugging and maintaining software using AWS API
• Expertise with different AWS cloud service components to build an application that integrates the following:

• VPC, EC2, CloudFormation etc.
• S3 storage and integration with local file system
• SQS/SNS queuing service and SWF work flow service
• AWS security and integration with Active Directory and LDAP (OpenID/OpenID-LDAP a plus)
• RDS database system (backed by Oracle DB)
• Knowledge of NoSQL such as DynamoDB a plus (optional)

 Required skills include:

• Spring technologies /Java
• Web technologies, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap / Angular a plus (optional)
• Web Services, including RESTful APIs
• JPA/Hibernate or ORM mapping technologies (optional)
• Oracle (PL/SQL)
• Tomcat server
• Overall system architecture design (especially scalable/high throughput system) and methodologies
