The ideal candidate will have participated a variety of development initiatives with core competencies in Java and relational databases.

1.  Proven object-oriented software design and development experience using Core Java, JMS or (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ),JSP's, and XML.

· Relational database technologies, knowledge of RDBMS design concepts as they apply to OLTP and OLAP, SQL, and SQL performance optimization techniques (Oracle is preferred)

We are looking for a consultant that knows Oracle and Composite so that they rewrite these reports from racle reports to Composite using Oracle PL/SQL and ANSI SQL.  These are complex reports so we need someone analytical in nature.

 

Keys to the Position

 

Strong Oracle PL/SQL Development and experience working with Composite is a must.  Composite is a Data Validation tool that allows one to retrieve data from multiple sources.

 

Strong ANSI SQL experience is a must.  This is used with Composite

 

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

BI Reporting experience is a big +

 

Financial Services experience is a big +

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• This position is 80% Development and 20% Systems Analysis.

 

• Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and conduct POCs and build prototypes.

Overview    

 

The Equity Investments Application team is seeking a hybrid analyst/developer with strong technology implementation and systems analysis skills to deliver and support technical solutions that enable the investment process. The analyst will work with Wellington's Investment teams covering functions such as global portfolio management, research, investment risk management, hedge fund management, and product management.

 

Daily activities will include understanding current reports queries and implementations, requirements gathering, hands on conversion and development in Composite, code reviews, implementation, and testing.  The individual will work with the Equity team to trace investment data flows/ anomalies/issues through comprehensive analysis, and remediate/enhance existing Oracle implementations for the Equity Investments business. In addition the responsibilities will include designing and implementation of very efficient ANSi SQL functions, stored procedures within Composite.

 

Prior experience with reporting solutions using Composite is required.  Work requires solid mathematical skills and an excellent problem solving acumen.
